The most exciting news to come out of this diary in a very long time...
I'm a homeowner!!!
Yes, that's right, at the age of 24 I have finally gotten my act together and am moving out of my parents' house. And no, I will not be a tenant, rather a full-fledged, mortgage-paying, probably-broke-but-definitely-happy home owner! Ok, let's not jump the gun. The contracts are signed, attorney review is over and all systems are go, but settlement isn't until January and who knows what could happen between now and then. But I'm still so excited! It's a one bedroom condo about 10-15 minutes away from where I live now. It's really cute, we just have to do some cosmetic things like paint, new carpet, etc. But most of all I'm totally amped about have not one but TWO closets in my bedroom and one of them is a walk-in!!! I don't know why, but to me that's the best part of the whole place!
