So the "summer of new experiences" that I raved about when I last updated about a century ago actually went pretty well. The best part, hands down, was Scott.
He was great. As I so nicely put it one night at the bar to my friends "I've never dated someone good looking before!" He was so hot, I couldn't stop looking at him. Granted, he was kind of dumb as in "Please just stand there looking good and don't open your mouth for fear you might say something to embarrass me". He was dumb in the sense that sometimes he'd say things that made absolutely no sense, or he'd use made up words and think he sounded really intelligent. But anyways, he had some great qualities. He was gorgeous, super nice, really hot, such a sweetheart, easy on the eyes, and a seemingly honest, trustworthy guy. I was happy for almost 2 whole months (which is amazing considering I rarely make it to a third date).
Then it ended. So abruptly that the fact that we weren't really that compatible didn't dull the pain that much. Basically I woke up one Saturday morning with a whole bunch of missed text messages of him frantically searching for me after having seen a concert with his friends because he wanted to see me so badly. And then that same night, a mere 12 hours after having awoken to someone missing me so badly, he just stopped talking to me. And I've never heard from him since. I have no idea what I did, or what want wrong, or what his reasoning was. I was just cut off, and that was that.
So I guess he wasn't so honest and trustworthy and nice and sweet after all, huh?
And the lesson learned from all of this... DON'T DATE DIVORCED MEN!!! He was 30 and divorced. Why that didn't set off a panic alarm for me, I'm not sure, but next time I meet someone who writes alimony checks, I'll know to run.
